Our Strengths

SDGs

SDGs stands for Sustainable Development Goals.
Adopted at the UN Summit in September 2015, this international goal aims for a sustainable and better world by 2030.
This page will showcase Hiyoshi Kaisoten's SDG initiatives to contribute to solving social issues and to serve as a model for the warehousing and transportation businesses.

Environment

  • Promote electrification of forklifts and vehicles used exclusively on premises
  • Convert lighting fixtures to LED
  • Reduce use of paper by digitizing work instructions, delivery slips, invoices, etc.

Safety

  • Brain checkups for managers, drivers, heavy equipment operators, etc.
  • Widely disseminate the five principles of safe driving to prevent accidents: (1) Strictly prohibition of driving under the influence of alcohol; (2) compliance with safe driving speed; (3) always slow down before a curve; (4) check traffic at intersections; and (5) stopping to ensure the safety of pedestrians crossing the street.
  • Comprehensive accident-free initiatives based on three pillars as part of occupational health and safety management activities (6 rules = (1) No entry to moving areas, (2) wearing safety belts for work in high places, (3) no entry under suspended loads, (4) no access to area where heavy machinery is operating, (5) wearing detectors in areas where there is a risk of oxygen deficiency or poisoning, and (6) turning power off and conducting power inspection for electrical work. Review similar accidents and implementing the same measures across the company. Create a workplace with a positive atmosphere).
